Zapato Sport Shoes Blanco is a classic white versatile shoe with a navy sole which is easy to wear with any outfit!
Biomecanics resulted from a joint research project between Spanish shoe-maker Garvalin and the Biomecanica Institute of Valencia. Biomecanics shoes are strong, durable but also light, flexible and breathable.
Biogateo is recommended for babies of 9 to 24 months in their crawling stage and first steps. Biogateo provides conditions similar to those of walking barefoot in uncontrolled environments when footwear is necessary, providing the security they need without losing stimuli.
If your child is a confident walker, Bioevolution is recommended for maturation and improvement of the gait of kids aged 1.5 to 8 years. Bioevolution is a shoe capable of withstanding intensive use and providing great freedom of movement.
Key features:
- Adjustable double velcro straps allows narrow or wide fit
- Optimized stabiliser for greater freedom of movement
- Maximum flexibility
- Maximum breathability
- Reinforced toe to ensure greater durability
- Removable insoles

For pre-confident walkers. Children who can walk at least 10 steps on their own but are not yet steady, just before they run with confidence. Biomecanics designs Biogateo for the stage from crawling through first steps. Thermal and mechanical comfort without pressure or chafing, to protect the foot in uncontrolled environments. The closest thing to walking barefoot, so it does not interfere with the physical and motor development of the foot.
Flat, removable antibacterial insole: totally flat, since a baby has not yet developed a plantar arch at this stage. Being removable, it lets the shoe ventilate and makes it easier to measure the foot.
Flexibility and proprioception: the sole lets the foot move in all directions (flexion, dorsiflexion and torsion), so it does not limit the foot's high mobility and allows stimuli to come through.
Friction: the grooved sole in the metatarsal area gives the right grip for momentum when crawling.
Stability: the soft stabiliser and wider heel base help a baby control the side-to-side movement of the foot and keep balance in first steps, with no buttresses or internal reinforcements that splint the ankle.
Setup: the closures adjust the fit as the foot grows and as children change posture. The adhesive tape closure system prevents chafing and allows flexibility, and the padded tongue prevents hyper-pressure on the back of the foot. Small removable parts that could be dangerous for little ones are left out of the design.
Also included: a braking zone, a U-shaped cleft that frees the Achilles tendon, a comfortable interior with flattened seams, a thin, non-slip, dorsiflexible sole with maximum traction, and a thermal comfort, micro-perforated leather lining for maximum breathability. Made with natural materials free of phthalates, chrome and nickel, using water-based glues.
- Made from natural materials
- 100% free of chrome and nickel
- Pig-skin lining
Remove dirt with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rub footwear with a dry cloth. Never put it near a heat source. Once dry, you can use a neutral colourless cream for footwear to hydrate the skin (not necessary for textiles and synthetics).
Do not machine wash. Keep in mind that these type of shoes that are put in the washing machine absorb a lot of water and often do not dry completely before use. If they are damp, and along with the body heat, mold can appear. This will cause a bad smell and also increases the possibility of foot fungus.
How to clean the insoles of these shoes
- Follow instructions above.
- In order to extend the life of the insoles as much as possible, we recommend aerating them after each use.
- All the antibacterial insoles offer high breathability and absorption. Most of our designs have removable insoles which you can remove to dry.

Shoe care guide
Keep them fresh for every crawl, cruise, and first step.
How do I clean leather shoes?
Remove dirt with a damp cloth and mild soap. To dry, wipe the shoe with a dry cloth and air dry in shade. Never leave them in the sun or near a heat source. Once dry, you can use a neutral colourless cream for footwear.
How do I clean the insoles?
Wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap if needed. Never machine wash or tumble dry. Remove nightly and air out to stop sweat stains and mould before they start.
Can these go in the washing machine?
No, unless the product label says so. Machine washing can rust the eyelets and leave shoes damp. Damp shoes plus body heat increases the risk of mould and foot fungus.
How do I clean combination leather?
Treat each material on its own terms. Clean each area individually, following the care instructions for that specific material.
How do I clean canvas sections?
Use a damp cloth for everyday dirt, and mild soap for anything stubborn. Air dry naturally and keep them away from direct sunlight and direct heat sources.
